MY STORY
MY LOVE FOR AUTHENTIC STREET FOOD BRINGS ME BACK TO THE AGE OF TEN. EVERY MORNING WAS SPENT THROWING DOUGH IN A WOOD OVEN AND SELLING IT TO A HUNGRY VILLAGE. I DISCOVERED MY CRAFT AND IT GAVE ME PURPOSE.
ON MY WAY BACK TO LA, I FOUND MYSELF MISSING THE AUTHENTIC FLAVORS. THE STREET FOOD JUST WASN'T THE SAME OUT HERE. I BUILT A WOOD OVEN AND WOULD SPEND HOURS A DAY COOKING SOMETHING MONEY COULDN'T BUY. I FOUND MY PASSION. AT GATHERINGS I WOULD HEAR, "THE FLAVORS BRING BACK MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD IN MEXICO." I WANTED TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE WORLD, BUT I WASN'T READY.
I SPENT EVERY DAY FOR MANY YEARS PERFECTING MY RECIPES. MY GOAL WAS TO SERVE AUTHENTIC MEXICAN STREET FOOD WITH AN UNFORGETTABLE TASTE. IN 2019, I OPENED PAPI TACOS & CHURROS IN THE HEART OF LOS ANGELES. WORD-OF-MOUTH BROUGHT US LINES OF PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD. BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER AND FEEDING THEM HAPPINESS ACCOMPLISHED MY DREAM. THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF IT TODAY.
